Who We Are

Dr. Lainie Kringen-Scholtz

Dr. Lainie Kringen-Scholtz is from Madison, SD. She attended South Dakota State University with a BS in Animal Science and then attended Iowa State University where she got her doctorate. After vet school, she attended Options for Animals for chiropractic training and CuraCore for acupuncture training. Her husband, Andy, is from Springfield, MN and is a product specialist at CHS. Lainie and Andy enjoy spending time working on their acreage, going to cattle shows, barrel racing, driving the team, and spending time with family.

Erin Whitehouse
Lead Veterinary Nurse, Equine Reproduction
Erin Whitehouse is from Colman, SD. She graduated from South Dakota State University with a BS in Animal Science and a minor in Equine Studies. Her passion for animals has been lifelong which led her into volunteering and working at the Brookings Regional Humane Society. From there, Erin became a veterinary technician where she continues to hone her skills today focused on equine medicine and reproduction. Erin and her fiancé, Josh Giese, enjoy hunting, paddle boarding, playing sports, and spending time with their family and fur children, Jobi, Jewel, and Gunther.

Nicole Johnson
Office Manager
Nicole, originally from California and raised around horses, lives on an acreage near Madison with her husband and three children, where they enjoy life outdoors together. She enjoys riding, hunting with her Griffons and sharing in her children’s activities and achievements. Nicole applies her veterinary expertise to support the team and clients, contributing to
efficient, thoughtful, patient-focused care, guided by her love for animals and dedication to helping them and their owners.

Becca Dale
Veterinary Assistant
Becca is from Plymouth, Minnesota. Her family’s history in ranching and agriculture in South Dakota sparked her love for horses at a young age. She values the fast-paced, hands-on learning that equine medicine requires and enjoys continuing to grow through practical experience in the field.
Apart from veterinary medicine, Becca is also building her business as a horse trainer, combining her passion for animals with entrepreneurship and horsemanship. Her business is Chrome Horse Company and you can schedule with her training business at 763-400-1430!
Outside of work and horses, she enjoys an active lifestyle, maintaining her acreage, spending time outdoors, attending live music events, and exploring poetry, art, and fashion shows.
Becca is currently single and accepting applications for a semi-wealthy man—preferably good at math, capable of putting together a decent outfit unassisted—tasteful jewelry welcomed (a pinky ring would be most appreciated).
